Look away

I think his writing makes me want to be more specific. To not hide behind the words as it is so easy to do when talking about these concepts and ideas that circle around poetry, writing, reading, being.

There are the books on the shelf and then there are the books stacked on the desk. Ones on the shelf are for later. Ones stacked on my desk shape my thoughts for the current.

The goal is to not look away. A different statement once away from the page. A good list poem title, What I look away from.
